WELCOME!
Welcome to the "See Jane Read" book blog! This blog was designed for Readers like myself to discover new books to read and different insights and opinions to blog about on these books as well! Heres how it goes! Every two weeks a new book will be posted. I figure that two weeks should be enough time for even slow readers like me to complete it. Anyone who reads the book is welcome to leave comments about how they liked or disliked the book. I will start with the first book because I'm starting this blog! I figured everybody is going to read this book in two days like I have almost already done and I also figure that most people I know will have read it in about two weeks anyways! Of course it is Breaking Dawn!
Since I don't know quite yet how to get other people to be alowed on this blog account yet if you want to suggest a book just leave it in the comments section. I will figure out how to get more techical in a little bit! any questions you can leave a comment on my personal blog dapages.blogspot.com, or you can email me at finefish18@yahoo.com

I haven't heard anyone else's take on this book. So, I guess I'll go ahead to be the first one on READ JANE READ to share my opinion.
I really enjoyed the first three books in the Twilight series. And read them all back to back in a span of 4 days. I had to wait about a month for Breaking Dawn to come out.
I liked the book mainly because I got to find out how the story ended. I liked seeing Bella not only as a vampire, but also as a mother too. It seemed that she was always destined to be a vampire. And if you look at it that way, you can see why her human body didn't quite work for her. Also with this in mind, I wondered if her 'blood singing for Edward' was sort of the vampire equivalent to 'imprinting'.
Perhaps I'm slow.(my husband always figures everything in a story out ahead of time) But I tend to enjoy the reading while I"m reading and don't spend too much time thinking about things. So, I was glad also to come to an understanding of Bella's "Gift" and figure out why Edward couldn't hear her thoughts.
I was glad that there was a way to make Jacob fit into the picture in a way that feels right. I know many people didn't- But I always liked Jacob, though in my mind, Edward seems way hotter. Still, I have to say: I HATE the name Renesmee. If you weren't sure before that Stephanie Meyer is mormon--that seals the deal. The classic (awful) made-up mormon name. Nessie is much better.
I did think it was cool through the whole series, how Edward and Jacob were made to be such opposites. Rich, Poor. Hot, Cold. Dark skin, pale skin. But, both so endearing and lovable.
As a stand alone book, I don't think this one would be as good as the rest though, and I can't quite put my finger on why.
Not looking forward to the movie. I don't know if I'll be able to watch it. The actors they chose are so different from what I had pictured. I think that threw me off a little while reading this one too. When I started, I had the ugly actors in my head instead of the beautiful people from my imagination. It made the story not as appealing.
Curious to hear what anyone else thinks
I love breaking dawn so much that I decided to re-read all of the book over again before the movie comes out. At first I really wanted Bella to end up with Jacob but now that I have been re-reading twilight I am glad she ended up with Edward. It makes since that she was suppose to become a vampire. I was a little disapointed with the fact she had to go into a lot of detail to help better understand the book.
I was a little bummed about the person she picked to act out Edward. He's not as cute as the other guy I thought she was going to pick. But then again I have learned not to get my hopes up with theses kind of films.
I really liked Breaking Dawn except for the ending I was a little bummed, I actually wanted them to fight the Volturi and kick there butts, I think there was a lot of build up with the Volturi coming and all then nothing really happened so that was kind of lame.
I also wish that since Alice went to all the trouble of leaving clues and things for Bella that it would have been for a good reason not just for a back up plan but for a real plan!
I liked that Bella finally became a Vampire, I liked the way it happened too, it was to save her life not just because she wanted to even though that would have been alright too, but that it was necessary to save her life, that was cool!
I liked the powers that she had, that she was able to control herself and wasn't a blood thristy vampire, but she was always responsible, and muture for her age so I think that is why she had good self control, I liked the shielding thing and liked that in the end she could remove her shield so that Edward could see her thoughts too, that was pretty cool!
I liked how she fit Jacob into everything because I did like Jacob but not for Bella he needed to stop fantasizing about Bella, but now that he is over her that is good, I was shocked that he inprinted on her daughter but I guess I should have seen it coming.
I liked how it explained a lot of things that happened in the other books, it tied everything in nicely.
I have to agree with susan that Renesmee is an awful name I think I trew up a little bit in my mouth when I heard that one!
Over all I did really like it but I have to say that the first one is my very favorite!
I am excited to see the movie just to see what it is like but I am planning on being dissapointed, movies are never as good as the books, but hopefully they will do an alright job and yuck Edward is so ugly almost anyone would be better then him so that right there is a very big let down because we all know that Edward is supposed to be the most gorgeous man alive!
Yay! I am soo glad that you guys are leaving comments on this blog. I have to say taht I loved Breaking Dawn! I thought it was soo different then the other books. I have to say that I hate the name Renesme! Am I the only one though? I was really glad when people started calling her Nessie instead because I thought it was much cuter! I also thought that Bella made an Awesome Vampire! I think that my new secret obsession is to look like bella! Thanks Guys for leaving your comments! I guess it is time for a new book!
I loved the Twilight series and was really looking forward to Breaking Dawn. I think I had so many expectations, that Breaking Dawn just didn't seem as good to me as the first 3 books.
Don't get me wrong. I did like the book. I guess, I just thought that it would go into more detail about Bella picking between Edward & Jacob. I found it so weird that Jacob & Bella still couldn't seem to part after she was married (at the first part of the book). That really bugged me but then everything made sense once Reneeseme came into the picture.
I do think that Edward was the perfect fit for Bella, and that she was destined to be a vampire. I was also glad that because of the life or death situation, she basically had to turn into a vamprie. I loved the powers that she had.
Overall, I was satisfied with how everything ended up. But I guess I just wasn't as mesmorized with Breaking Dawn as I was with the other books.
